rope making

So I've talked to a few of you guys about this..I was thinking I would like to help make a rope for the tug of war thing. There is a rope making machine in the fibers dept. that I asked Kristine if I could use, I still haven't heard back from her so in the meantime I will hunt for supplies and input.

Does anyone want to help? What colors do you want? (I/you can dye the fabric) 

Nick and I thought the dirty rope would be a nice artifact in the gallery along with some other documentation.
